The 2nd Annual Empty Bowls Dinner was a huge success! We are moved by such a supportive community that came out to attend our hunger awareness and fundraising event at Franklin High School. Thanks to all who shared in our simple meal of soup and bread, our food donors (3 Restaurant, Alumni Restaurant & Bar, Shaw’s Franklin and Whole Foods Market Bellingham), and the many who worked behind-the-scenes to make this event possible. Special thanks to our partner and co-host, the Franklin High School Empty Bowls Club, whose members worked diligently all year to prepare for this special evening. FHS Administration, State Representative Jeff Roy, and Deputy Town Administrator Jamie Hellen were among the more than 250 guests in attendance. We are grateful to all who are helping us end hunger in our community.
The event was featured on Franklin Almanac. You can check out the news story here.
