Why Should You Support the Franklin Food Pantry’s Campaign?
- Reach more people in Franklin facing food insecurity
- 3,284 people who participate in MassHealth
- 1,508 people are enrolled in SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)
- This is roughly 650 households who could benefit from our services, but haven’t yet
- About 10% of our clients are non-English speakers
- About 16% of clients state that public transportation is a barrier to food access
- 65% of clients want to access our public program assistance, connect with our partners, and use local resources
- Pre-COVID there were almost 700 children eligible for free/reduced lunch
- 295 children were members of families who shopped with us
