The Franklin Food Pantry has a few openings for some passionate folks who might enjoy serving on the Board of Directors. If you have a background in one of the following areas: Finance, Nutrition and/or Food Services, Communication and/or Marketing, we would like you to consider joining our team.

The Franklin Food Pantry is overseen by an eleven member Board of Directors. We have been fortunate to find some good folks to volunteer their time and skills to help this worthy cause. Unfortunately, due to changes in their lives, some of our directors have needed to step down. So if you have time and talent for a Board Position in one of the following three areas we would love to speak with you about these most fulfilling community service roles.
1 – Finances
If you have accounting experience, in particular a CPA with exposure to non-profits, the Board would welcome your expertise.
2 – Nutrition or Food Service
To insure we continue to distribute the healthiest food available in the most efficient and safe manner, we are seeking folks with experience in food sciences and distribution. If you have a background in dietary health, food services, procurement, and/or distribution we hope you would consider a position on our Board.
3 – Communications or Marketing
We are continually looking for creative ways to tell our story to potential clients and to increase the community awareness of the good work being done by the Food Pantry. The need to alleviate hunger continues throughout the year, not just around the winter holidays. Year round exposure is critical. If you have a PR or marketing background, please consider joining the Board and contributing to this gratifying effort.
Our Committees support the efforts of the Board to insure the work of the Food Pantry’s long range goals are achieved. Perhaps a Committee Member role is to your liking.
